Dr. Doumit is currently an assistant professor of surgery at the University of Montreal. He is known as a master surgeon and innovator who uses state-of-the-art plastic surgery techniques and knowledge to care for his patients in a compassionate fashion.

- Dr. Doumit was invited to join in 2010 the world famous Cleveland Clinic hospital department of plastic surgery as director of craniofacial surgery. While there, Dr. Doumit had the privilege to successfully treat many complex cases that failed treatments at other major university hospitals in the United States and the world. He frequently operated on royalties and celebrities. Dr. Doumit remains on staff at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He is currently an assistant professor of surgery at the university of Montreal. Dr Doumit, along with his colleagues at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, recently performed a near full face transplant.
- Dr. Doumit is one of the few surgeons that perform minimally invasive cosmetic facial surgery through the use of an endoscope (camera).
- Dr. Doumit is consistently in demand as a guest lecturer at plastic and reconstructive surgery meetings in the United States and abroad. He writes about plastic surgery topics, including facelifts, facial implants, rhinoplasty, breast and body contouring. He has authored 5 book chapters and over 30 scientific articles relating to plastic surgery. He is also a member of the editorial board of the journal of craniofacial surgery.
- Dr. Doumit is currently the chair of the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgery Courses. He is also on the executive board of the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgery.
